Day 2

Nothing feels more intense than a Game Walk

After a delicious breakfast, the safari adventure begins immediately! You are visiting us to go on safari, not to relax by a pool for a few days first, so we fly right in. Experience the splendor of Arusha National Park with a game-walk led by an armed ranger. Meet unique animals, admire waterfalls and enjoy the enchanting natural splendor of Tanzania.

One of the most intimate first safari experiences

✓ On foot through pristine nature

Day 3

The Elephant Paradise

It is time for a scenic drive before we reach Tarangire National Park. In our opinion, this is one of Africa’s most beautiful parks. Discover overwhelming elephant herds and zebras. Relax in the heart of the park at Ang’ata camps. End the day here with a delicious dinner before finding rest in this piece of paradise.

Perfect continuation of your safari
✓ Second game drive
✓ High chance of seeing elephants
✓ Baobab landscapes

Day 4

Southern Tarangire

After a relaxing morning at the lodge, we head back into nature for a final safari through the tranquil southern part of Tarangire National Park. First, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast, after which we set off. Around midday, we stop for an atmospheric picnic lunch, right in the heart of nature and, with a bit of luck, surrounded by elephants.

Tarangire National Park owes its name to the Tarangire River. Particularly during the dry season, this river forms the most important, and often even the only, water source for wild animals. As a result, large numbers of animals gather along the banks, significantly increasing the chance of special encounters.

Next, we leave Tarangire and drive towards Lake Manyara and Karatu. After about an hour, we reach the lodge, which is beautifully situated atop the Great Rift Valley. There, you can quietly reflect on another impressive safari day.

One of the most pristine parts of Tanzania
✓ Remote and peaceful wilderness
✓ Large herds of elephants and swamps
✓ Authentic safari away from the crowds

Day 5

Direction the mighty Serengeti

This time we leave Mto wa Mub and drive another 3 hours to enter the legendary Serengeti.

We are preparing for an exciting day through the Ngorongoro highlands and a first game drive through the vast and rolling plains of Serengeti National Park. Again, the goal is to witness the incredible interactions between majestic predators and the graceful herbivores they depend on for sustenance.

Entering a true safari dreamland
✓ Long safari drive towards Serengeti
✓ Spotting wildlife along the way
✓ Arrival at an iconic park

Day 6

With the Lion King (Seronera)

The word “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai language and means “endless plains. The world’s most famous National Park itself covers approximately 15,000 km² of predominantly flat or gently rolling grasslands, interspersed with occasional rocks (kopjes).

As the day progresses, you make your way back to the carefully furnished accommodation in this remarkable, world-famous national park.

Serengeti like on TV
✓ Chance to see the BIG Five
✓ Wake up to a beautiful sunrise
✓ Photo opportunities

Day 7

In the Footsteps of the Great Migration

Today, we first travel from the central part all the way to the north of the Serengeti. Along the way, we turn this journey into an extensive game drive at a slow pace, so that we can fully enjoy the impressive nature and the many animals we encounter.

Moreover, one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in the world takes place during this period. Every year, during the Great Migration, over 1.5 to 2 million wildebeest and other hoofed animals migrate in an enormous loop through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. The annual migration to the northwest, at the end of the rainy season—usually between July and November—is particularly impressive. For this reason, this migration is recognized worldwide as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Natural World’.

Up to the border with Kenya
✓ High concentration of lions following along
✓ Magical safari at sunset
✓ More exceptional opportunities for photography

Day 8

The greatest show on earth (Kogatende/Mara River)

This will be a day in the part of the mighty Serengeti where the great migration is sure to reside at this time. (this trip is therefore only operated between July and November) So we don’t have to explore far to witness this spectacle up close. By the way, this migration can also be viewed throughout the year but this is done in other regions, other than Kogatende and Mara.

The highlight of this trip
✓ Chance of a river crossing
✓ Waking up to a beautiful sunrise
✓ Even more photo opportunities

Day 9

Back to Nature

We are returning south today, or in other words, another full day in the bush on safari….

Countless other beautiful animals, besides the Big Migration, inhabit these plains, and your expert LAZY LION SAFARIS guide will be happy to search for them with you.

From north to central – right in the middle of the migration.
✓ Rivers full of life
✓ Peaceful wilderness
✓ Migrating herds

Day 10

Noah's Ark

After a few unforgettable days in the vast Serengeti, one of the other absolute highlights of your safari in Tanzania is on the program today: the impressive Ngorongoro Crater. Naturally, we descend to the famous crater floor, where we will search for the rare rhinoceros and numerous other wild animals, among other things.

We get the picnic basket ready and then depart for one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. During this unique game drive, we discover one of the most extraordinary ecosystems in the world, where lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and countless other animal species live together in a relatively small area. Thanks to the high concentration of wildlife, the chance of spectacular safari encounters here is exceptionally high.

One of the most beautiful places in Africa
✓ Descent into the crater
✓ Unique ecosystems
✓ High concentration of wildlife

Day 11

Direction of Zanzibar

Unfortunately, this will be the last day on Tanzanian soil. But there is more: Zanzibar.

You will have the opportunity this evening to relax on the pristine and fascinating beaches of Zanzibar.

An idyllic end to the trip
✓ Transition from safari to tropical paradise
✓ White beaches and turquoise water in sight
✓ Time to relax and savor the memories

Day 12-16

Sun Sea & Beach

Like most countries in East Africa near the equator, Zanzibar has the same days and nights of 12 hours each.

A renowned tourist destination, Zanzibar boasts an array of exceptionally clean beaches complemented by breathtaking sunsets that have won widespread acclaim.

The perfect balance between tranquility and discovery
✓ Culture and charm of Stone Town
