After a delicious breakfast, we begin our first rest day or the adventure in this beautiful area around Moshi.

Optionally (for $50, including transport), you can visit the waterfalls of the Chaga village of Materuni.

The spectacular Materuni Waterfall offers not only impressive beauty but also a lovely hike through the forests surrounding Kilimanjaro. We will also enjoy a local lunch and learn how to make coffee during a coffee tour—an experience that includes hands-on participation and, of course, tasting the coffee.

Feel free to ask about all our other excursion options as well.

Time slows down and you enjoy

✓ Initial optional exploration
✓ Moments of pure relaxation
✓ Enjoy warmth and delicious food

Day 3

Between Greenery and Water

In the morning, we visit the famous Chemka Hot Springs, where you can relax in the clear blue, warm water amidst a beautiful natural setting.

Then, in the afternoon, we head towards Arusha for a unique walk along and through a river, allowing you to experience Tanzania’s nature up close.

Moreover, this combination of relaxing in the hot springs and an active hike makes for a varied day filled with nature and adventure. On this excursion, you discover two completely different sides of Tanzania while simultaneously enjoying tranquility, physical activity, and an authentic nature experience.

A relaxed yet active day

✓ Enjoying the hot spring
✓ Swimming in the jungle
✓ Tropical paradise

Day 4

Nothing feels more intense than a Game Walk

Experience the splendor of Arusha National Park with a game-walk led by an armed ranger.

Perfect place for a day trip

✓ First game drive
✓ Chance to see giraffes
✓ At the foot of Mount Meru

Day 5

Discover the hidden nature of Makuyuni or Randilen.

During this special experience in Tanzania, you can choose between the Makuyuni or Randilen Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs)—two regions where nature and authentic wildlife encounters take center stage. Both areas offer the chance to explore the Tanzanian landscape from a different perspective, far removed from standard tourist routes. Whichever you choose, you will marvel at the unique natural surroundings and witness how humans and wildlife have coexisted here for generations. Both Makuyuni and Randilen serve as a unique prelude or complement to your Tanzanian safari, allowing you to experience the adventure in a more personal and—above all—authentic way.

The perfect continuation of your safari!

✓ Second game drive
✓ High chance of seeing elephants
✓ Few or no other tourists

Day 6

Soaking up a bit of rural culture.

Today, you can choose how you’d prefer to explore the area: on foot, by bike, by tuk-tuk… or even a combination of all three! Soak up the culture in the farming village of Mto wa Mbu, on the edge of Lake Manyara.
Prefer a slightly more nature-oriented outing? Then a walk or bike ride to the lake is highly recommended.

The perfect brake in this safari!

✓ Stretch your legs again
✓ Among bananas and monkeys
✓ Various activity options

Day 7

Back to nature

Today we are driving via the Ngorongoro Highlands to the southern Serengeti—or Ndutu, in other words—heading back into the African bush for a safari….

Countless other magnificent animals—beyond the Great Migration, which can only be seen here between January and April—inhabit these plains outside of that period as well. Our expert LAZY LION SAFARIS guide would be happy to help you look for them.

From Lake Manyara to Lake Masek

✓ From culture to safari adventure
✓ Sunset with a drink
✓ Migrating herds or tranquil wilderness

Day 8

Safari dreamland

The vast plains of the southern Serengeti merge into the more wooded Ndutu region, which actually belongs to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Most people visit this region only during the calving season, yet the area is unique—and notably peaceful—outside of that period as well.

One of the most pristine parts of Tanzania

✓ Remote and peaceful wilderness
✓ Wide variety of wildlife in acacia woodlands
✓ Authentic game drive

Day 9

Towards the mighty Serengeti

Today we leave Ndutu and drive to the heart of the Serengeti for another impressive safari to Seronera.

This vast nature reserve is home to an immense diversity of wildlife, ranging from small herbivores to impressive predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. As a result, there is an exceptional chance of remarkable wildlife encounters during this upcoming game drive, allowing you to experience the African wilderness at its very best.

Driving into the next safari dreamland

✓ Short drive towards the Serengeti
✓ Arrival at the iconic park

✓ Much more wildlife along the way

Day 10

With the Lion King

This will be a full day of driving on a safari in the beautiful Seronera/Serengeti Central.

Get ready to experience the best of Serengeti’s natural landscapes and wildlife during this full-day game drive. You will enjoy the undivided attention of the LAZY LION SAFARIS private guide during this highlight of the area, which traditional vehicles cannot reach.

The highlight of this trip

✓ Chance of seeing the Big Five
✓ Sunrise in open plains
✓ Photo opportunities

Day 11

The last morning game drive

After another sunrise in the Serengeti, we head back towards the southern part of the park.

This is only partially familiar territory, as we are taking a different route that will lead us through the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The highlight of this trip

✓ A final farewell to the savanna
✓ Misty roads through the highlands
✓ The deep, green crater below you

Day 12

Noah's Ark

The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is still on our itinerary today.

Naturally, we will also descend into this impressive crater, where we will look for rhinos, among other animals. In addition, this enormous collapsed volcano is home to more than 25,000 other mammals, meaning the chances of encountering lions and other special animals are once again very high.

One of the most beautiful places in Africa

✓ Descent into the crater
✓ Unique ecosystems
✓ High concentration of wildlife

Day 13

The end of this trip

Unfortunately, today we will take you back to Arusha—to your hotel or the airport—so you can head to your next destination or return home. You will arrive there after a drive of approximately three hours.

After all those unforgettable safaris, impressive landscapes, encounters with wildlife, colorful markets, and relaxing days in the bush, it might be difficult to say goodbye — and we understand that all too well.
