After a delicious breakfast, the safari adventure begins immediately! You are visiting us to go on safari, not to relax by a pool for a few days first, so we fly right in. Experience the splendor of Arusha National Park with a game-walk led by an armed ranger. Meet unique animals, admire waterfalls and enjoy the enchanting natural splendor of Tanzania.

Day 3
It is a scenic drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Africa’s most beautiful parks. Discover overwhelming elephant herds and zebras. Relax amidst the bush at this Karibu Camp. End the day with a delicious luxury dinner before finding rest in this piece of paradise.

Day 4
After a delicious breakfast, we continue our safari in the quiet south of Tarangire National Park, with a picnic lunch amidst elephants. Towards Lake Manyara and Karatu, just a 3-hour drive away, Lion’s Paw Lodge awaits you. It is situated in the protected Ngorongoro rainforests.

Day 5
Today the Ngorongoro crater is still on our program. These we will also descend, of course … in search of rhinos.
This remarkable crater, formed by a massive volcanic eruption two million years ago, features fertile lava soil with a unique and thriving ecosystem.

Day 6
After breakfast, we leave the Ngorongoro Highlands and drive another 2 hours further this time to enter the legendary Serengeti.
Driving through these highlands is certainly an experience that leaves you immersed in the natural beauty this location has to offer.

Day 7
The world-renowned National Park itself covers about 15,000 km² of mostly flat or gently rolling grasslands, interspersed with occasional rocky outcrops (the kopjes).
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, get ready for an exciting day of game drives through the vast and rolling plains of Serengeti NP. This park has some of the best wildlife habitat in Africa. Besides being known for its great migration, the Serengeti is also known for its abundant large predators.

Day 8
Today we trek from the central part to the very north of the Serengeti. We do this as 1 big long game drive at slow pace ….
The crossing of the Grumeti and especially the Mara rivers, which begins in July, is a popular safari attraction because crocodiles lurk there.

Day 9
One of the absolute highlights of this trip is now on the itinerary: a visit to the part of the mighty Serengeti where the Great Migration is almost certainly located during this period. Moreover, since this trip is operated exclusively between June and December, we do not have to drive far to experience this impressive natural spectacle up close.
That is why we visit the Mara River, where the famous river crossings – the spectacular “crossings” – normally take place in abundance during this period.

Day 10
Unfortunately, this will be the last day on Tanzanian soil. But there is more: Zanzibar.

Day 11-16
Like most countries in East Africa near the equator, Zanzibar has a fairly constant climate. As a result, both days and nights last approximately 12 hours. Furthermore, daytime temperatures remain the same for almost the entire year.
In addition, one of the most striking features of Zanzibar is the historically significant Stone Town. This city formerly served as a prominent trading center. As a result, clear traces of both Swahili and Islamic influences are still visible today.
