Feel free to ask about all our other excursion options as well.

In the morning, we visit the famous Chemka Hot Springs, where you can relax in the clear blue, warm water amidst a beautiful natural setting.
Then, in the afternoon, we head towards Arusha for a unique walk along and through a river, allowing you to experience Tanzania’s nature up close.
Moreover, this combination of relaxing in the hot springs and an active hike makes for a varied day filled with nature and adventure. On this excursion, you discover two completely different sides of Tanzania while simultaneously enjoying tranquility, physical activity, and an authentic nature experience.

Perfect place for a day trip

Day 5
During this special experience in Tanzania, you can choose between the Makuyuni or Randilen Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs)—two regions where nature and authentic wildlife encounters take center stage. Both areas offer the chance to explore the Tanzanian landscape from a different perspective, far removed from standard tourist routes. Whichever you choose, you will marvel at the unique natural surroundings and witness how humans and wildlife have coexisted here for generations. Both Makuyuni and Randilen serve as a unique prelude or complement to your Tanzanian safari, allowing you to experience the adventure in a more personal and—above all—authentic way.
The perfect continuation of your safari!
✓ Second game drive
✓ High chance of seeing elephants
✓ Few or no other tourists

Day 6
The perfect brake in this safari!
✓ Stretch your legs again
✓ Among bananas and monkeys

Day 7
Today we are driving via the Ngorongoro Highlands to the southern Serengeti—or Ndutu, in other words—heading back into the African bush for a safari….
Countless other magnificent animals—beyond the Great Migration, which can only be seen here between January and April—inhabit these plains outside of that period as well. Our expert LAZY LION SAFARIS guide would be happy to help you look for them.
From Lake Manyara to Lake Masek
✓ From culture to safari adventure
✓ Sunset with a drink
✓ Migrating herds or tranquil wilderness

Day 8
The vast plains of the southern Serengeti merge into the more wooded Ndutu region, which actually belongs to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Most people visit this region only during the calving season, yet the area is unique—and notably peaceful—outside of that period as well.
One of the most pristine parts of Tanzania
✓ Remote and peaceful wilderness
✓ Wide variety of wildlife in acacia woodlands
✓ Authentic game drive

Day 9
Today we leave Ndutu and drive to the heart of the Serengeti for another impressive safari to Seronera.
This vast nature reserve is home to an immense diversity of wildlife, ranging from small herbivores to impressive predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. As a result, there is an exceptional chance of remarkable wildlife encounters during this upcoming game drive, allowing you to experience the African wilderness at its very best.
Driving into the next safari dreamland
✓ Short drive towards the Serengeti
✓ Arrival at the iconic park
✓ Much more wildlife along the way

Day 10
This will be a full day of driving on a safari in the beautiful Seronera/Serengeti Central.
Get ready to experience the best of Serengeti’s natural landscapes and wildlife during this full-day game drive. You will enjoy the undivided attention of the LAZY LION SAFARIS private guide during this highlight of the area, which traditional vehicles cannot reach.
The highlight of this trip
✓ Chance of seeing the Big Five
✓ Sunrise in open plains
✓ Photo opportunities

Day 11
After another sunrise in the Serengeti, we head back towards the southern part of the park.
This is only partially familiar territory, as we are taking a different route that will lead us through the Ngorongoro Highlands.
The highlight of this trip
✓ A final farewell to the savanna
✓ Misty roads through the highlands
✓ The deep, green crater below you

Day 12
The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is still on our itinerary today.
Naturally, we will also descend into this impressive crater, where we will look for rhinos, among other animals. In addition, this enormous collapsed volcano is home to more than 25,000 other mammals, meaning the chances of encountering lions and other special animals are once again very high.
One of the most beautiful places in Africa
✓ Descent into the crater
✓ Unique ecosystems
✓ High concentration of wildlife

Day 13
Mafia is undoubtedly the best diving location in Tanzania. It is a small paradise that has a surprising amount to offer. Moreover, and quite remarkably, it is also suitable for less experienced divers. Thanks to the calm conditions and the varied underwater world, both beginners and more experienced divers can enjoy themselves to the fullest here.
After our stay in Karatu, we return to the small airport in Arusha. We then fly to Mafia, where we are met upon arrival. This allows the beach adventure to begin without delay.
A new paradisiacal sequel
✓ A truly tropical island
✓ Relax in an exclusive, serene atmosphere by the Indian Ocean

Day 14/20
Surrounded by a protected marine park, the diving, fishing, and snorkeling here are the best in the entire region. Mafia is truly an excellent destination for those who want to spend some time in the underwater world and are interested in nature and outdoor activities.
A final authentic escape
✓ Green island atmosphere
✓ Discover the historic ruins and charm of Chole Island

Day 21
Unfortunately, today you are taken back to the island’s airstrip, from where you will travel via Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar to your next destination or back home. The drive takes just about fifteen minutes.
After all those unforgettable safaris, impressive landscapes, encounters with wildlife, colorful markets, and relaxing days on the beach, saying goodbye might be difficult—and we understand that all too well.
Reliving an unforgettable trip at home
✓ Transfer to the airstrip and return flight home

What a fantastic experience it was to go on safari with LLS. My teenage daughter and I arrived in Arusha and visited Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. The trip was breathtakingly beautiful; we couldn’t get enough of the stunning scenery and the abundant wildlife, and we were impressed by the immense friendliness of the Tanzanian people in general, and our guide Issah in particular. We had a dream holiday!
We had our trip planned by Lazy Lion Safaris and are extremely satisfied with the result. You simply provide your budget and preferences, and they put together a completely customized itinerary.
There were no unexpected surcharges—for rising fuel prices, for instance—as is the case with some other companies. Thanks to the excellent care provided by Lazy Lion Safaris, we enjoyed three fantastic and, above all, worry-free weeks in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
